At 9:30 am today, Mar 21, 2014, a delegation of the government on a car visited blogger Dinh Dang Dinh in Kien Duc district, Dak Nong province. They proposed to meet Mr. Dinh, who is inside a separate room for medication, to deliver the Order of Amnesty signed by the President.

They five persons are the representatives of Court, Prosecutor, Police and Public Security. They announced “Amnesty decision for temporarily suspended prisoner” issued by the President on Mar 10, 2014 and “Amnesty certificate” of People’s Court of Dak Nong province signed on Mar 21, 2014.

Health status of teacher Dinh Dang Dinh is no longer optimistic due to cancer. His family decided to take him home to rest in Dak Nong province after receiving Decision of one year suspension of imprisonment on Feb 15, 2014.

There are three cases of death in detention without offering  a review of amnesty. That are the cases of prisoners of conscience Truong Van Suong, Nguyen Van Trai and recently Bui Dang Thuy.

As soon as Mr. Dinh received Decision of one year suspension of imprisonment, many Western nations and international organizations continue to call for the complete release of blogger Dinh, such as Reporters Without Borders, PEN International, FIDH, the U.S. and Europe Union.
