The law on supervisory activities of the National Assembly and People’s Councils and the amended law on accounting were approved by the National Assembly (NA) on November 20.

At the plenary session that was part of the parliament’s ongoing 10th sitting, deputies also scrutinised the pilot implementation of the bailiff institution under the NA’s Resolution 36/2012/QH13, dated November 23, 2012. They also looked into a draft resolution on the enforcement of the institution.

Lawmakers discussed the adoption of the Protocol Amending the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organisation. Five deputies urged for the ratification and thrashed out the execution of the Government’s action plan during the international economic integration.

Appraising the draft law on belief and religions, legislators focused on people’s right to the freedom of belief and religion, the rights and obligations of religious organisations and subordinate bodies, prohibited activities in the realm of belief and religion and the recognition of religious organisations and religious legal entities.

They also debated religious organisations’ properties and social activities, belief and religion-related activities that involve foreign factors, and the State’s management in the field.
